PACE financing - multiple sites for cold storage food distributor
Boy Scouts of America - Austin, TX
This project highlights the importance of flexibility to navigate shifting state, Federal and utility solar policies. At the time we financed this through Technology Credit Corporation on behalf of SunPower, Federal policy enabled us to do this as a lease. Austin Energy limits PPA structures. Today we recommend PACE or a 20 year loan for this type of customer.
Lancaster, CA
We financed this solar project for the original owners of Antelope Valley Ford & Mazda with PACE - Property Assessed Capital Expenditures. The owners considered tax leases, but ultimately decided on a direct-ownership financing so they would retain the Tax Credit. The financing had reasonable prepayment costs, so it was paid off prior to sale of the dealership.
House of Worship - PPA
The Fresno Diocese has been a longstanding partnership for us since financing the first project through our initial fund, American Renewable Capital. Fresno and Bakersfield are in relatively high-cost PG&E utility area, so these solar PPAs deliver significant financial savings to customers.
St Paul Newman Center at Fresno State - PPA
The solar advisor to the Diocese engineered an innovative, attractive and highly productive Y-shaped solar canopy for many of its projects. This solution addresses parking lot clearances, as well as performance, design and aesthetic considerations for the customer.
St. Patrick School - PPA
St. Mary Magdalene School - PPA
300 kW
Private School - Connecticut
With TCC, we financed this solar project through a long time contractor relationship. The PPA for the school incorporated the Connecticut ZREC incentive in place at the time.
140 kW
San Diego Academy - SoCal
ARC & TCC financed this PPA for a private Adventist school. Most private schools have strong balance sheets and can be financed with a PPA, or a PACE/Prepaid solution.
Parochial School Projects
Fresno & San Diego Dioceses
Through American Renewable Capital, Technology Credit Corporation, and our other funding partners, we have funded parochial schools for Catholic Dioceses & Orders.
502 kW
The Reutlinger Community - Danville, CA
ARC & TCC financed the PPA for this project. We maintained our underwriting approval while this project required over 3 years to permit - due to OSHPD, as well as 2 different AHJs.
630 kW
Retirement & Assisted Living - NorCal
Recently completed multi-site project in Northern California.
$1.5 mm Solar + Energy Storage
Hotel - NorCal
We financed this project with PACE, to incorporate the roofing, controls, and energy storage elements. Today, we actively finance energy storage through PPAs.
Solar + EV Chargers
Travel Center/Gas Station - Selma, CA
Our first gas station/travel center project, and first EV fast-charger. Gas stations have historically been challenging to finance. We now have financing options for gas stations.
1 MW
Employee Stock Ownership Plan - NorCal
American Renewable Capital, our predecessor, developed a bifurcated financing structure - half PPA, half Prepaid PPA - to provide tax credit monetization, while also keeping River City Bank involved to finance part of the project.
PACE and Tax Credit Financing
Fresno, CA
Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) require tailored structures to monetize the Investment Tax Credit of 30%+, as they are generally understood to not qualify for the "direct pay" option for nonprofits.
1.5 MW - 2 projects
Sun City Lincoln Hills - NorCal
HOAs typically require member votes under their CC&Rs. This 5,000+ homeowner HOA utilized its neighborhood watch to go door to door to do the vote via signature in <3 weeks.
500kW - Multiple projects
Goodwill - Austin, TX
Austin Energy utility rules make it challenging to finance nonprofit solar projects. We financed this as a lease in 2013; however, today we recommend PACE in Austin Energy (& LADWP).
500 kW
Calif State Employees Association - NorCal
Painted Rock Capital and our predecessor ARC have financed a range of nonprofits: houses of worship and schools, as well as country clubs, HOAs, credit unions. This is our first labor union.
140 kW
Belmont Country Club - Fresno, CA
Country Clubs and Homeowners Associations are excellent candidates for solar. With a financed project, Clubs can reduce operating costs. There is no impact on member dues.
692 kW
The House Modesto - Modesto, CA
We collaborate closely with our contractor partners. This project, in a CA irrigation district utility, required extensive contractor development work with the utility.
389 kW
Grace Baptist - Santa Clarita, CA
ARC financed a PPA for this longstanding Baptist Church in Southern California. We have financed projects for most religions and denominations.
